Readability and Content Coverage Indices of Three Approved Mathematics Textbooks for Senior Secondary School Three in Akwa-Ibom State

The study investigated the readability and content coverage indices of three approved mathematics textbooks for senior secondary school in Akwa-Ibom State. Two research questions two corresponding hypotheses guided study. adopted utilitarian evaluation design. Three (3) out twelve (12) were drawn using simple random sampling technique. Purposive non-proportionate stratified techniques used to draw sixty (60) students from population 340 SSS3 schools Etim Ekpo Local Government Area Ikwa-Ibom instruments data collection mathematic textbooks, syllabus or scheme work Mathematics Textbook Reading Level Evaluation Questionnaire (MTRLEQ). MTRLEQ was validated by experts measurement face validities. Gunning Fog Index Topical Coverage index answer questions. One-way analysis variance (one-way ANOVA) Linear Chi-square test at 0.05 levels significance. Based on findings, it observed that among New General read successfully students. Recommendations made others should be written English level.
